I am flying to England from a 'Green List' destination
All individuals travelling to England from green destinations must take take a PCR test on or before Day 2 after arriving in the UK. The green test can be taken at any point up to Day 2.
I am flying to England from a 'Amber List' destination:
I am NOT fully vaccinated
All individuals travelling to England from amber destinations are required to quarantine for no less than 10 full days on arrival. It is mandatory to book a travel test package, and you are required to take a PCR test on or before Day 2, as well as on or after Day 8, of this travel and arrival period.
The day of arrival in England is seen as day zero. You can conduct your test at drive-through site at the airport on arrival. The test conducted on or before Day 2 is administered to help identify any potentially harmful COVID-19 variants, and on or after Day 8, you will be tested again to check that you do not have COVID-19.
You are allowed to go to a Coronavirus testing centre during quarantine in order to complete your Day 2 and Day 8 tests. Under no other circumstances will you be allowed to leave quarantine until you receive a negative Day 8 test and you’ve quarantined for 10 days.
All travellers arriving in England will face a penalty of up to £2,000 if they do not take the Day 2 and Day 8 tests.
I am fully vaccinated
These new amber list rules for fully vaccinated travel only apply if you are:
- fully vaccinated* in the UK or under the UK vaccine programme overseas (e.g. residents of the British Overseas Territories, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) or;
- participating or have participated in a formally approved clinical trial of a coronavirus vaccine in the UK or;
- ordinarily resident in the UK and under the age of 18 at the time of arrival.
If the above items apply to you, then you will no longer need to self-isolate when you return to England from an Amber-list country, but you need to take a Day 2 Amber Arrivals test.
Children under the age of 18 will no longer have to self-isolate when returning to England from an Amber-list country, but they do need to take a Day 2 Amber Arrivals test.
*Fully vaccinated means a full 14 days have passed since the final dose of COVID-19 vaccine was given through the UK vaccine programme.
I am flying to England from a 'Red List' destination
If you are arriving from a Red List country, then you are not eligible for our service, and must use the UK Government's 'managed quarantine' service.
Test to Release: Choose to end your quarantine early
You can opt to do the Test to Release scheme and end your quarantine early if you test negative on Day 5. However, you are still required to take a COVID-19 test on or before Day 2 and on or after Day 8.
Please note: You cannot opt-in to the Test to Release scheme if you have been in or passed through any country listed on the travel ban red list.
