ExpressTest has launched at London Heathrow Airport with a 24-lane drive-through, making it the largest private Covid testing facility of its kind in the UK. The screening centre, which is located at the airport’s N4 car park, offers gold standard PCR tests, which can be used by departing passengers looking to satisfy international travel requirements, the general public and Heathrow colleagues.
The test will cost £80 for passengers, £60 for Heathrow colleagues and £99 for the general public. The site has two of ExpressTest’s largest on-site labs, with the capacity to process over 5,000 tests daily, with results typically received the next day.
Cignpost Diagnostics launched ExpressTest last year at Gatwick and Edinburgh airports to meet the demand for fast and affordable private Covid testing for airline passengers and the general public. Launching this new site at Heathrow, one of Europe’s largest airports, shows the success of the ExpressTest service and the important role private testing plays in allowing people to safely continue with their lives.
ExpressTest is already one of the UK Government’s approved private ‘general testing’ providers and is now authorised to provide the ‘Test to Release’ service, which will be launched soon.
