COVID-19 SCREENING SERVICE LAUNCHED AT CABOT CIRCUS
The drive-through and walk-in facility by ExpressTest will offer fast and reliable PCR swab tests
ExpressTest (a division of Cignpost Diagnostics Ltd) has today launched a new private drive-through and walk-in Covid-19 screening service at Cabot Circus, on level 5 of the car park. Located in Bristol city centre, the highly accessible site is offering fast and reliable PCR swab tests.
The tests on offer are ‘Fit to Fly’, a service for international travellers which costs £80 per person, and the test-only service, which costs £99 per person. The facility will be particularly useful for people who are symptom free and so do not qualify for NHS testing, but require a negative test result to fly abroad from May 17th, if permitted to do so.
Typically, results will be emailed to customers by 10m the day after their test. Those who have used the ‘Fit to Fly’ service and screen negative will be emailed a ‘Fit to Fly’ certificate authorised by a doctor, which will enable them to travel internationally.
Both the ‘Fit to Fly’ and test-only services are delivered using the latest gold standard PCR equipment which is fully CE-IVD certified and manufactured to the highest possible standards, and tests are carried out by trained Screening Practitioners. Since its launch in November 2020, ExpressTest has carried out over 100,000 PCR tests.
Nick Markham, Founder of ExpressTest said: “Our number one priority is to provide customers with fast and reliable reassurance of their health and the Cabot Circus site is a great new addition to our nation-wide services. Being right in the city centre and being accessible to both drive-through and walk-in customers, our new Cabot Circus site is extremely convenient for international travellers and Bristol’s general public. For the next few months and beyond, it’s clear there is going to be a continued need for Covid-19 screening, for the reopening of society and travel, which could commence from as early as May 17th.”
Robert Hobbs, General Manager at Cabot Circus said: “The past year has been an extremely challenging time for so many people, and I know we’re all looking forward to getting back to some kind of normal. The new ExpressTest facility at Cabot Circus is part of that journey, as it will help the people of Bristol get rapid tests, offer certificates for travel abroad and help to safely reconnect people with family and friends once this lockdown ends.”
