Taking the Test Picture on an iOS Device

You will now see the image from your camera, overlaid by a guide with a red box flickering around the image. This is normal and represents the app attempting to frame a good photograph of the test cassette. Align the QR code on the cassette and result window in the guide.

Picture Quality

Follow the on-screen instructions to ensure that a high-quality image of your test can be taken.

  • Ensure that you have plenty of light
  • Place the cassette on a plain background (but not white)
  • Ensure the cassette is positioned the correct way, with the QR code at the top of the photo
  • Use the guide to align the photo

When the frame around the test device is green, and a ‘Test detected’ message is displayed, the app will automatically capture a photograph, or you may choose to manually capture a photograph by tapping the white circle that appears at the bottom of the screen when an optimum image has been identified. Adjust the position of the camera/cassette until the circle appears.

Picture Review

Review the photograph taken by the app. If the result on the cassette can be read clearly, tap ‘Submit’. Otherwise, tap ‘retake photo’ to take another photograph.

After tapping ‘Submit’, wait a few seconds until the Test Result screen is displayed.
